In front of this façade are cloth banners hung like flags on poles, flapping in the wind. These banners bear images of royalty who lived in this castle. As I walked in front of the castle I glanced quickly at the banners and remember seeing François 1er, among others.

Right before I took the photos above, I overheard a tourist say (in Spanish) to the people in his group as they all looked at the images of these historical royal figures all decked out in their finery, "They were so ugly!" Haha. Dude, but tell us what you really think.
